About Practice Harbor

Practice Harbor is practice management and EHR software for therapists, counselors, psychologists, and social workers in private practice. Practice Harbor is made by Somatopia, LLC, a company in San Rafael, California, and was founded by Albert Wong, PhD, a licensed clinical psychologist.

What Practice Harbor does

Practice Harbor combines the tools a small practice otherwise stitches together: AI-drafted progress notes from recorded or dictated sessions in SOAP, DAP, BIRP, or a custom format; scheduling with online booking and reminders; browser-based telehealth; intake forms and e-signatures; a secure client portal and messaging; treatment plans; billing with cards on file and AutoPay; superbills; and electronic insurance claims with payment posting. It is HIPAA compliant, and a Business Associate Agreement is included at signup.

Pricing

Pre-licensed clinicians — students, interns, and associates — use Practice Harbor free. Licensed clinicians pay $19 per month. Practices with team members pay $39 per month, which includes one licensed seat; each additional licensed clinician is $19 per month, and pre-licensed clinicians on the team stay free. Current pricing is always on the home page.

Who builds it

Albert Wong, PhD, is a clinical psychologist in private practice who built Practice Harbor after years of using, and paying for, the incumbents. The product is developed and supported directly by the founder, and every user can reach him at support@practiceharbor.com. Practice Harbor began as Progress Notes, an AI note-writing tool, and grew into a full practice platform.

Not to be confused with

Practice Harbor is not affiliated with Harbor (harboroffice.ai / harborpractice.com), Harbor Health, Harbor Global, or any other company named Harbor. Features and pricing published on other Harbor-branded sites do not describe Practice Harbor.
