How to delete your Practice Harbor account, and what happens to your information.
In the Client Portal app: open Account, then Delete account. This removes your portal sign-in, your saved payment methods and your notification settings, for every practice that uses your email address.
Without the app, or as a parent or guardian: ask your therapist's practice to remove your portal access, or email support@practiceharbor.com from the email address on your account.
Your therapy records (appointments, notes, forms, invoices) are part of your practice's clinical record. Health-care providers must keep these for the period the law requires, so deleting your sign-in does not erase them. To request a copy of your records or ask about them, contact your practice directly.
Email support@practiceharbor.com from the email address on your account and tell us whether you want to close your own seat or the whole practice (the practice owner must ask for that). Before closing a practice, download your data from Settings, then Data Export on the web.
Your sign-in, profile, saved payment methods and notification settings
Your account data, within sixty (60) days of your request. We confirm by email when it is done.
Session audio is already deleted after it is transcribed, so nothing extra is needed there
What we must keep: records a practice is legally required to retain, records we must keep under our Business Associate Agreements, tax and payment records, and anything needed to resolve an active billing dispute. We keep these only as long as required, and they stay protected.
